For struggling readers who are reading below grade level, it would be helpful to take some time each day to work on sight words.  I have included all grade level sight words. Depending on your grade level and ability, start with the list that is most comfortable for you.   For example, if you are in 3rd grade you can start working on either 1st, 2nd or 3rd grade sight words. It is not important to do all of the words every day.  Read through the lowest sight words list first, (if you only want to focus on one column at a time that is okay too) and write down any words you do not know.  Work on the words you do not know, until you know them and then move onto the next list (or column).
